8 Gift Ideas for the Ladies & Gents in Your Life

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! I love spending time with my loved ones during the holidays, both family and friends. It often serves as a timely reminder for me on what the important things are in life. While the holidays are about much more than gift giving (they really aren’t about that at all), it is a time commonly recognized as a chance to show our care and appreciation for those close to us in the form of gifts.

So without further delay, here are 8 gift ideas for your to consider during your holiday shopping. There is something here for everyone and best of all, many of these can help you show that you are thinking about his or her personality, passions or needs. Let’s get started!

1. Bellroy Wallet

A few years ago I got my dad a Bellroy wallet for Christmas and he absolutely loved it! I'm not sure if it's just the men in my life (typically the older ones) but they seem to use their wallets till they are busting and the seams and on their last legs. The Square wallet featured here comes in 5 colors, fits 4-12 cards and flat bills. It is sleek and lightweight for the minimalist...or those you might want to convince to be more of a minimalist wallet carrier. Starting at $59, this can be a great wallet choice for the gents in your life.

2. Aēsop Travel Kit

This one goes out to the travelers in our circles. If you have that one person in your life who seems to always be on the road, flying / driving from one city to the next, this might be the gift for them! Aēsop has created 13 different travel toiletry sets with all that is required to help take care of your skin as well as overall hygiene on any journey. Some of there kits are even specifically designed based on the types of climates you (or your gift receiver) tend to frequent. Starting at $35, this gift is a great way to make your loved ones packing experience a little more enjoyable.

3. Decanter

There's not too much to say about this one other than you might be able to enjoy the benefits of it too! A classic decanter can be a simple and elegant gift for you to give. Note that is more so for those who drink wine in your life so be sure to know if he or she is a wine drinker prior to purchasing. Priced at $30, the decanter featured here is from Sur La Table and follows a traditional design

4. Sugarfina Holiday Set

Now to be fair to the younger crowd of gift receivers (or those who just love candy in general) a great option is to share a Sugarfina candy cube set. There are a variety of flavors that Sugarfina offers; however, during this time of year there are specialty / limited time sets. To name a few flavor options:

  • “Santa’s Cookies” Candy Cube: Tiny sugar cookies are dipped in white chocolate, then sprinkled with superfine sugar for a sweet touch of holiday magic

  • “Penguin Polar Mints” Candy Cube: deliciously cool gourmet mints dipped in dark chocolate and dressed in a crisp candy shell, these wintertime treats have a refreshing, rich flavor with a satisfying crunch5

This gift idea is targeted more to the corporate men in your life as an opportunity for them to express some of their personality in the workplace. Bonobos offers a variety of stylish shirt prints and socks to keep him looking professional and fashionable at the same time! Don’t tell, but I got my brother some of their socks this year…shhh!

6. Pie Dish

For the bakers in our lives, there is never anything such as too many pie dishes! What I love about this one is the nice (classic) rim detailing that will help give the pie crust an stylish design. This pie dish is another Sur La Table find currently on sale for $29.96 and featured in 5 different colors. Maybe after giving this gift you might even be able to use it to bake with your family or friend!

7. Lulu’s Accessories

What lady doesn’t love nice accessories?! Over the last year I’ve started getting a ton of my apparel, shoes and accessories from Lulu’s and absolutely love them! Often times at work I’ll get complements on their items which always have a nice pop of color or unique design. I highly recommend checking out all of their accessories, and it is not hard to find a sale on their site!

8. An experience with YOU

While I’m sure people enjoy getting gifts to open around the holidays, one thing I’ve come to understand as true for myself and those I care about is that there is nothing better than spending quality time with the people you love. So this year your can also consider giving the gift of your time and that doesn’t have to cost you money. Here are some ideas of things your can do with someone you care about that range from free to approx. $60:

  • Create a stay in movie marathon night (maybe bake some cookies or make them dinner)

  • Have a small group of friends over for a game night

  • Offer to help babysit for a night if they have children

  • Take someone on a stroll to ‘see the (holiday) sights’ of your home town

  • Spend a day at a local museum

  • Sign up for a cooking class or wine and painting

I hope you enjoyed this list of gift ideas!! Many of the retailers listed about are offering Black Friday / winter discounts so be sure to check them out ASAP before sales are over or items run out. Most importantly, remember that it’s not about what you give but about showing that your care! Happy holidays ♥
