Giant | Chicago

Over a year in the making, I finally made it to Giant! One of my amazing sisters introduced me to the spot and we were absolutely ecstatic to get a table and some delicious bites! Without further ado, here is a tiny bit about the restaurant & A LOT about what we ate.

Giant: A Brief History

Seasonally based New American plates restaurant, Giant is located in Logan Square at a fun and quirk store front. Once inside, we were greeted by a fun and funky playlist and art from local artists. Run by chefs Jason Vincent and Ben Lustbader, they opened in 2016 and have been serving up delicious shared plates over hard to get reservations ever since. I highly encourage you to make your reservation in advance and wear stretchy pants to accommodate this delicious and unique dining experience.

What We Ate

Giant has quite the extensive list of dinner plate options with something for everyone (in my opinion). We started off with an order of the brussel sprouts, served with parmesan and parsley. From their we had a fine layered lasagna that was out of this world!!! I’m talking mad delicious. Protein selections for the night were an order of scallops served up perfectly in a special sauce and a steak option I believe is now closest to the tri-tip steak on their current menu. To wrap-up the night, we tried a delicious caramel apple cake à la mode. It definitely hit the spot and wrapped up the evening well! For two people, we ordered 5 plates to share & were pretty stuffed by the end.

Please note that I’m putting this out a bit late from when I went…so the menu is a bit different now, but I’m sure equally as delicious. To see what is freshly in rotation, click here: Giant Menu.

I hope to be back again very soon and for many of you to enjoy the lovely experience Giant has to offer heart ♡
