Vegas Baby!

Some people go to Vegas to gamble...me, I go to Vegas for the food & night life. After my recent trip, I am here to recommend my top 10 places to go in Vegas!

10. Hash House A Go Go

A restaurant chain born out of Indiana, this place has expanded across the country and be come famous for their unique dishes. Receiving awards for their world famous chicken & waffles, as well as being showcased in editorials as the New York Times, Hash House A Go Go has become a tourist highlight of Vegas.

9. Taco Bell Cantina

Yes, I know it is slightly strange to have Taco Bell on this list. However, it made the cut because of the experience this new location provides clientele on the strip. Unlike any Taco Bell you have been to before, this Cantina is modern, engaging, and sleek. The restaurant features a VIP lounge, custom artwork, a wall of spiked slushies, and TB merchandise.

8. Beauty & Essex

This prohibition themed bar is located in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. On the outside it looks like a music shop, and then through a series of doors you find a large vintage backroom with jewel decor. This is a great spot to get dinner, small plates, or go for post dinner drinks. It is experience unlike any other. During certain intervals of the night there are employees that come thru the bar as well as seating area dressed in full 1920's garb.

7. Carlo's Bake Shop

Owned by the one and only Cake Boss, Carlo's Bakery is a must try for any sweet tooth in Vegas. I was able to try their Peanut Butter, Reeses and Ganache cake. It was out of this world! I really appreciated that the peanut butter, buttercream frosting was not too strong. Rather, it was a great compliment to the rich chocolate cake.

6. Hakkasan

Coming in at #6 on International Nightlife Association's 100 best world clubs, Hakkasan was an electric environment to be in. With a great line up of DJs to the headline performance of Steve Aoki, Hakkasan provided one of my favorite nights of entertainment.

5. Gordon Ramsay's Fish & Chips

If you have been following me for awhile, you know by now that I am a lover of fish and chips. So when I saw Gordon Ramsay's Fish & Chips, I could not help but check it out.  There is not too much for me to say on this subject but that you will not be disappointed by taking time out of your schedule to eat here. I'll let the food speak for itself:

4. Trevi

Again, those close to me know I am obsessed with anything Italian. So when I heard about Trevi Italian Restaurant, I knew that it would be a required stop on my trip. This eatery serves traditional Italian dishes in what I would say is more of a Roman or southern Italian style. Since returning from Milan, this would have to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have visited. From the dishes I sampled, my favorites were the Fettuccine Pollo Carbonara and Ravioli alla Vodka.

3. LINQ High Roller

Standing at 550 feet tall and 520 feet in diameter, the High Roller is the world's tallest ferris wheel. This was one of my favorite Vegas experience because it gave breathtaking views of the strip along with a glimpse at the dessert land that lays beyond. The compartment that my friends and I went on was one of two that offers happy hour services during your ride. Each ride lasts 30 minutes and the time flies by quickly. Moreover, as someone who has a fear of heights, I can assure you it is worth it to get up there.

2. BurGR

Let me first start by saying that the service at BurGR was fantastic! I really enjoyed talking to our waiter; he was welcoming, helpful, and extremely attentive. Okay, now for the food... the restaurant is a play on Gordon Ramsay's initials and serves to accurately represent the reason why you should check this venue out. This is arguably in the top 5 burger spots I have had in my life. The restaurant focus is on traditonal burgers, fries, and shakes. To my vegetarian friends out there, don't worry! All of the dishes can come with meat-free substitues. The food, ambiance, and service are all top notch at BurGr. Make sure you hit this spot early on your trip because you might just want to go back!

1. Omnia

Recently ranked the #1 best club in the world for 2016, Omnia is truly a special venue to attend. Afrojack was performing the night I went and while the multi-tiered club was packed I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to comfortably fit all show goers. Omnia provides a night to remember with great music, and an amazing layout.
